The new Wavves album - King of the Beach has had very mixed responses. Wavves and indeed, the current trend(fad?) of re-visiting of surf rock polarises people. (It's hard not to make puns here, I haven't said "swell" or "time in the sun").
I like it though. Wavves sounds like a mix of the stuff that I listened to in the car with my parents growing up, what I listended to when I was 14 (when skateboarding and Californian punk music were the two best things on earth), and the stuff I listen to now. It's not for everyone, but most music isn't.
